About Isaac Mason

Birth Location: Somerset County, New Jersey
Death Date: 30 January 1856
Death Location: Davis County, Iowa
Entered the Revolutionary War on May 1, 1781, while a resident of Johnston, New York. Mason was only 14 years old at the time on enlistment. Served at various times for a total of 16 months, first as a private under Captain Putnam in Colonel Willett's New York Regiment, and later in a company commanded by Captain Wamp. Mason was discharged in May 1783. Later, Isaac served during the War of 1812.
